1: Masterclasses

Legendary and experienced names in the music industry come to DIME to share their vast knowledge with you- the students! Is there anything more valuable than meeting your heroes and gaining their wealth of knowledge? We don’t think so! Guests who have visited DIME Denver include Natt Watts from Stevie Wonder’s band, virtuoso guitarists Mike Dawes and Felix MartinThunderduo (Gabor Dornyei & Kornel Horvath), Neyla Pekarek from the Lumineers, acclaimed British singer songwriter Tom Odell, Chris Johnson (who has drummed for Lady Gaga and produced for Snoop Dogg) and many more. We also live stream Masterclasses from our campus in Detroit- see below, Alessia Cara performs with DIME students!

2: DIME Sessions & Original 1265 Recordings

DIME regularly releases music through its Detroit-based record label: Original 1265 Recordings! That’s right… DIME has its own record label. In the past, students tracks have been accepted for the DIME Sessions album and they got to record in a professional recording studio with an experienced producer. Once the album was made, digital tracks were distributed worldwide on iTunes and Spotify. Artists that are signed to Original 1265 Recordings include Jena Irene AsciuttoCharity & A Plus. Having a professional recording of one of your original songs is a great step towards having a career in the music industry.
