WHO IS IN THE HOT SEAT?
What do you like to write songs about?
Making music is my way of processing difficult feelings. Dealing with sadness, loss, love, frustration, etc
Describe your musical style in 3 words.
Vulnerable, dynamic, emotional.
Who is your musical hero or heroine?
I have idolized Thom Yorke since the first time I heard Radiohead! Such an incredible artist.
Why do you love Denver?
Denver is my home, and is the perfect balance of big city and small town. It is so close to incredible nature, yet has the diverse and vibrant music scene of a metropolitan area.
What made you decide to pursue music?
As long as I can remember I have always been singing, but it wasn’t until I was 16 that I realized it was something I wanted to dedicate myself to. And after graduating from university and working a day job for a few years, I realized that I would rather be poor and making music than wealthy and sitting behind a desk.
What makes the world go round?
Love – love is all you need.
(Finish this sentence…)
A good riff… balances the new and the old, the accessible and the avant-garde, and brings people happiness!
